Trim audio files online
Cut an audio file down to the part you want, right in your browser, without uploading anything. Pick an MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A or FLAC file — or a video file, whose audio track is trimmed and whose picture is dropped — choose a start and end time, and save just that segment in the format you choose. The tool is built for short clips: trimming happens on your device, so a long recording can take a while.

Trimming audio, simply explained
The tool reads the file on your device and re-encodes just the segment between the start and end times you pick — always a fresh encode, never a copy of the old sound into a new container, so the trimmed clip plays cleanly from its first second. Type a time in seconds, as minutes:seconds, or as hours:minutes:seconds (90, 1:30 and 1:02:03 are all valid times), or drag the sliders; the end must come after the start, and both times are kept inside the file. Only the first audio track is kept: a video file trims from its audio track alone, its picture dropped, and a file with no audio track is refused. MP3 plays almost everywhere and its bitrate is yours to pick; WAV is uncompressed and larger; OGG carries Opus sound and accepts mono sound only; M4A carries AAC sound; FLAC is lossless and compressed, so it keeps every detail without the size of a WAV. Everything runs on your device, which keeps your files private but means speed depends on your device — short clips finish quickly, while long recordings can take a very long time, so this tool is best for short clips.
Private by design.
