Making thumbnails and covers, simply explained
Each platform shows your picture at a different size and shape — a wide 16:9 frame for a YouTube video, a tall 9:16 frame for a Short or a Reel cover — so one picture rarely fits them all. This tool resizes your picture to each size you pick: blurred padding shows the whole picture over a blurred copy of itself, solid padding uses black bars, and cropping fills the frame and cuts the overflow. Title text is drawn over the picture in the position and size you choose, and an optional logo sits in a corner. A Reel cover is shown tall, but feeds and grids crop it to shorter shapes — the preview draws those crops as guides so your text stays visible, and the guides are never part of the export. Exports are named after the size you picked, and carry no branding or attribution.
