Speed up or slow down audio online
Make a recording play faster or slower, right in your browser, without uploading anything. Pick an MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A or FLAC file — or a video file, whose audio track is sped up or slowed down and whose picture is dropped — choose one of six speeds (0.25×, 0.5×, 0.75×, 1.25×, 1.5× or 2×), and save the result in the format you choose. The tool is built for short clips: changing the speed happens on your device, so a long recording can take a while.

Speeding up or slowing down audio, simply explained
The tool reads the file on your device and re-encodes its sound at the speed you pick — always a fresh encode, never a copy of the old sound into a new container, so the sped-up or slowed-down file plays cleanly in any player. The sound is stretched to match the new length while keeping its pitch — a voice at 2× sounds fast but not high-pitched, and at 0.5× slow but not deep. Only the first audio track is kept: a video file speeds up from its audio track alone, its picture dropped, and a file with no audio track is refused. MP3 plays almost everywhere and its bitrate is yours to pick; WAV is uncompressed and larger; OGG carries Opus sound and accepts mono sound only; M4A carries AAC sound; FLAC is lossless and compressed, so it keeps every detail without the size of a WAV. Everything runs on your device, which keeps your files private but means speed depends on your device — short clips finish quickly, while long recordings can take a very long time, so this tool is best for short clips.
Private by design.
