Runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded

Rotate or flip videos online

Turn an MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV clip sideways or upside down, or mirror it left–right or top–bottom — pick a rotation, add a flip, and save the result as MP4 or WebM, right in your browser with nothing uploaded. The tool is built for short clips: rotation runs on the single-threaded engine, so it can be slower than converting the same clip, and long videos will take a long time.

How it works

Rotating videos, simply explained

The tool re-encodes the picture with the turn or mirror you chose: 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise, 180°, a horizontal flip, a vertical flip, or any combination — flips apply after the rotation, so a horizontal flip mirrors the rotated picture left–right. The picture is re-encoded at the same quality as a conversion, and odd dimensions are rounded down to even numbers, so a sideways phone clip comes out at its displayed size with width and height swapped. The sound is kept untouched whenever the output format accepts it, and re-encoded otherwise (WebM runs whose sound would need a stereo re-encode are refused instead, since that re-encode crashes the browser — save those as MP4); subtitles are not carried over. The result is named after the original clip, with -rotated added. Everything runs on your device, which keeps your videos private but means speed depends on your device — short clips rotate quickly, while long videos can take a very long time, so this tool is best for short clips.
