Resizing images, simply explained
With the aspect ratio kept, you set the width or the height and the other side follows each image’s own proportions, so nothing is stretched or squashed. Percentage mode scales every image by the same amount — 50% halves both sides. Enlarging an image does not add detail, so a much larger result can look soft. HEIC photos are saved as JPG, because HEIC cannot be written here. Saving as JPG flattens transparency onto white. Every result shows its before-and-after dimensions and file sizes, so you can check the change at a glance. Every result is re-saved at the quality you set, so saving as JPG or WebP loses a little quality even when the size does not change; PNG is saved without losing quality.
