Extracting audio, simply explained
The tool takes the first audio track from each video and saves it on its own in the format you choose: the picture and subtitles are dropped. MP3 is lossy and is encoded at the bitrate you choose — a higher bitrate sounds better and makes a larger file, but some sound quality is lost either way. WAV adds no further loss, because it is saved uncompressed, and is usually much larger. A video with no audio track has nothing to extract, and the tool says so. Everything runs on your device, which keeps your videos private but means speed depends on your device — short clips extract quickly, while a long video can take a very long time, so this tool is best for short clips.

Your file is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to a server or saved in browser storage. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views and performance; it does not receive PDF contents or filenames. Local processing does not guarantee a PDF is safe to open; only open files from sources you trust.
